Christmas gift ideas #2 - Ryan Gosling edition!

Okay so if you know me, you know I'm slightly obsessed with Ryan Gosling. I'm not sure when or how it happened (after the Notebook, before Drive and Place Beyond the Pines) but it happened and he is just gorgeous. His character in Place Beyond the Pines was probably what tipped me over the edge though - Ryan Gosling covered in tattoos and riding a motorbike... perfection!

Anyways, I was recently contacted by a company called Mr Nutcase asking if I would like to review an iPhone case on my blog so I jumped at the chance. I had been meaning to get a new iPhone case for a little while now and I was allowed to put a picture of anything onto it. So guess what I chose, yes a nice big picture of Ryan Gosling so I can look at him whenever I put my phone down.

Mr Nutcase personalised iPhone case - £14.95*

At only £14.95 including postage, I think that for creating your own iPhone case, this is an absolute bargain, and a great Christmas present too! It could literally be the perfect present for anyone - a picture of the family for your mum, a picture of all your best friends as a leaving present for someone at uni, the list goes on! I've had this phone case on my iPhone since the day it arrived, and I've had so many compliments on Ryan's lovely face :)

Secondly, I was contacted by the lovely people at Roo's Beach about reviewing a product from their website. After browsing for a good while, I came across so many cute and reasonably priced goodies! Everything from stocking fillers to clothing and accessories, but I knew that I had to pick a notebook of Ryan haha!

Roo's Beach Ryan Gosling 'Hey Girl' notebook - £7.00*

This journal makes me laugh every time I look at it! The cute/funny quotes on each page are hilarious and there are even some pages where you can fill in what he's saying yourself. If you know a Ryan Gosling enthusiast like myself, then at only £7.00 this is definitely one for their stocking!

Let's just take this moment to appreciate how good looking Ryan is in The Place Beyond the Pines. And in general. But even more so with tattoos.

Who would you have put on an iPhone case?
Or would you just have to get Ryan yourself?

My new Holga iPhone case! :)

I'm still kinda new to having an iPhone as I only got it at the end of Summer, but I literally feel like I could never go back to having any other phone! I'm addicted to instagram, Twitter and Facebook on it, but most of all The Simpsons 'Tapped Out' (if you haven't yet got it, get it!)

Anyways, when Lauren offered me the chance to try out an accessory for my iPhone I jumped at the chance. Although I'm currently a fashion student, I studied a BTEC in Photography and I've always loved taking photographs, so I chose this amazing Holga case! I have a Holga camera itself but the thought of having it on my iPhone to just easily take a photo with sounded great!

Holga iPhone case - £17.99*

I'm so excited to experiment with the different lenses and filters! :)

The lens wheel is attached by a magnet so when you're doing shooting with it, you can take it off, put the plastic protective wheel on, and pop it into your handbag :)

Here's some of my experimentations from the day I got the case, I'm sure you'll be seeing more posts from when I've been out and about with it:

This is the split image effect lens. There is the option of 2, 3 or 4 and this is the one where it splits into four. I'm not really sure what I'll use this for yet, but I love how it looks :)

These are also the split images lenses, the one on the left is split into three and the one on the right into two. The piggy pennybox is from Dunelm Mill :)

This lens contains a heart filter which I love. I can tell I'm definitely gonna be taking alot of photos with this lens on! :)

This lens is the macro lens, which means you can get really close to something and it will still be in focus. It took me a while to realise what this lens was because when I was holding it up to my hand at first it was just fussy, but when I showed my classmates they figured it out for me and we took photos of our eyes up close :)

It also has some colour filtered lenses which are cool, but I'm not sure if I'll use them to be honest! Will give them a go though and see if I can get any interesting photos out of them :)

When I first tried to take a photo of my hand with this red filter I could barely see it, I think it's supposed to be like the kind of red filter they use in scary movies when the light is off!

My mint green, crocheted, pearl iPhone cover :)

Three weeks ago I upgraded my contract and went from my blackberry to a lovely brand new white iPhone 4. I wanted to get a cover as soon as possible because I am super clumsy and I don't trust myself with such a big screen haha. So I went onto eBay and found this gorgeous mint green phone cover for a teeny tiny £2.37! I added it to my eBay finds post a few weeks ago, so go check it out, along with all the other bargains!

Anyways, I ordered it from Hong Kong, knowing full well that it would take about 3 weeks to arrive, so I've had to be super careful not to drop my phone! This cute little package eventually arrived and I knew exactly what it was :)

Yay! My lovely new phone case!

It actually ended up being so much nicer than I ever thought it would be for such a bargain price! The colour is a lovely shade of mint green, and the crochet and pearls compliment is so well!

The phone cover is lightweight but also hard enough to protect your phone. It is really easy to slip onto your phone, but it is tight enough that your phone won't fall out accidentally. Obviously it doesn't protect the screen of your phone, but most phone cases don't.

All in all, I am very happy with this phone case and I don't intend to get a new one anytime soon! I have had countless compliments on this phone cover from my friends and family, and for such a bargain price, the wait is definately worth it!
