Some cheeky little eBay finds! #5

This is actually my 100th blog post! :) Here are some more of the little bits I have been lusting over recently on eBay, and a couple which I have already invested in. I'll post the photos of the things I've bought recently at the bottom so you can see what they're actaully like! :)

I bought this recently, and I'm so happy that I did! Some of my lipsticks, such as Mac, are very similar looking on the packaging, and the only difference is the number of the lipstick on the bottom. So being able to store them like this, makes it quick and easy to find the one you're looking for, rather than rummaging through a make up bag full of them!
I love all of these. Bakewell tart, chocolate digestive, jam tart - omnomnom! Each one is different but they go so well together! I would love to have these in my kitchen :)
With the Summer months coming, we all need to stock up on the crop tops! It comes in black, white and pink, but I would personally only wear the black one. With crop tops in Topshop around £8/£12, this one is a bargain! :)
I can't believe I've only just found this cat watch for so cheap! They sell in New Look for around £10, but less than £3 is such a bargain, and it's so cute! :)

Okay, so these aren't exactly a 'bargain', but they are super duper cute, and I haven't actually seen a burgundy pair anywhere else. They're so lovely, I don't think I would ever take them off! :)

I'm probably gonna have to order this dress! It's just like the polo neck dresses that everyone seems to be wearing, and they go perfectly with chunky necklaces, but this one also has cut-out shoulder detailing for an added touch. It's such a bargain price too, it would be rude not to!
I'm sure you can get these alot cheaper to be honest, but this eBay store seems to have them in every size and colour. I'm really tempted by the black pair (as my ones from last year broke) and the glittery clear pair too!
This cuff is really sweet and would look lovely worn on the top of your arm. I always see cheap gold, silver and bronze jewellery on eBay, but it's not often I come across rose gold jewellery so I'm gonna be on the look-out for more! :)
I'd seen these shoes quite a few times around eBay but I'd never seen them this cheap so I knew I'd have to get some! I've already bought these in the PVC black version, but I'm really tempted to buy them in both colours of the suede too! They came really quickly and they fit perfectly, I'm really happy with them! :)

This product comes in red, pink, blue, silver, gold and coral. I would like to try it in pink, red and gold. It would look so cute on a Valentines Day date! It seems to sell out really quickly on eBay and this is the first time I've seen them all in stock so grab it quickly while you can, I might have to make a cheeky order for myself too!

This holds up to 30 nail varnishes, and is really similar to the Muji designs that everyone loves. I will probably invest in one of these when I get my own house, but for now all my nail varnishes are stuffed into a giant make up bag! :)
I love vintage-modern things! Modern products but with a vintage feel or image. This one is really cute and funny, and they have loads of other designs to choose from! :)
I am obsessed with Parma Violets but I haven't had them in years! I'm sure the smell would be gorgeous flying around my bedroom though. There are so many yummy flavours to choose from :)
I am so happy I found this as it's such a bargain! A singular bird in a house key holder sells for £11.00 on the Zalando website, so this is amazing! I'm tempted to order myself one to keep for when I have my own little house, or I could keep my uni key and my home key on seperate little birdies! So cute! :)

So here are what they look like in real life. My best friend Courtney is a Mac make up artist, so I bought here the lipstick holder too. How cute do they all look together?!
And here is the PVC leather wedges I bought. They are so worth the price and I love them :)

Thanks for reading :)

Do it yourself: Rose floral headcrown!

I'd been meaning to buy myself a floral headcrown for months, or maybe actually since last Summer, but I never got round to it! Then one day when I was reading the lovely Izzie's blog and I came across her blog post on how to make a floral headcrown, and knew I had to make myself one! I actually ended up using the finished headcrown as a prop in a photoshoot I was part of, and I'll link it below :)

You will need an alice band and some fake flowers with wire in the stems. I got the alice bands from Primark and they were £2.50 for  a pack of three. I got the roses from Hobby Craft and they were £2.99 for a pack of 6! They had many different types of flowers so pick whichever you like! :)

You will need a plain alice band so if it has a bow or ribbon on it, simply remove it. Mine was only connected by glue and came off easily with a pair of scissors! Remove one of the roses from the packet and it's up to you, but I decided to take off the plastic leaf too.

Now get the first rose and position it where you would like it to go on the alice band. If you decide on an odd amount of flowers, obviously the first one should start exactly in the middle, but if you decide on an even amount, the first one should start to the left of the centre so that another one can go next to it! Simply twist the wire around the headband, keeping it as tight as possible.

Keep adding the roses one by one, keeping it nice and tight. Having the roses tilted to one side of the alice band will mean that when the floral headcrown is being worn, it will give a fuller effect and look more like a halo.

The floral headcrown could be complete at this stage with only six flowers if you wish, as some people will prefer it with a more subtle effect. I felt that for the photoshoot I would like a much fuller effect so added an extra rose to each side :)

Here are the final floral headcrowns! I will defintely be making some more in different colours and different style flowers! How ridiculously easy are they to make?! They would go so perfectly with a little summer outfit at a festival or an outdoor wedding!

Here is my favourite photo from the photoshoot I styled for the magazine I've been making as part of my uni project. My good friend Clementine took the photographs and I love how they came out :)

Favourite bloggers of the month #2 :)

So today was finally the day that I got to hand in all my uni work for this past term! After multiple late nights and all-nighters, my magazine, sketchbooks, essay, portfolio and reflective journal is all done! I handed it all in and have just returned from a nice beer at the pub with everyone! :) This post is long overdue, and was supposed to be my favourite bloggers of April but I have just been so so busy! Either way, these girls are all lovely and have fab blogs so I hope you like them too and find some new reads! :)

Firstly is Catherine from Lace and Liquor Vintage. I absolutely love bloggers that post about vintage hauls, carboot sales and charity shops, and Catherine does all three! She shows off her cute little vintage finds on her blog and I'm always so jealous of them! She posts everything from hauls and OOTDs to beauty reviews and fashion wishlists! :)

Introduce yourself and your blog?
Hi! My name's Catherine, I'm 22 and live in a little town up north! I started my blog at the same time as my little online shop, when I was 19. At first it was all things vintage and more of a lifestyle blog, but progressed into more beauty and style as I got a little older, as well as just recently starting doing youtube videos!

Where does your blog name come from?
My blog name is taken from my online shop, which is 'lace and liquor vintage'. An old friend came up with it when I was 18 and contemplating starting to sell on ebay, and I actually really dislike the name now but as people know my shop as it and my blog as 'lady liquor vintage', I think I'm stuck with it now!

Where are your favourite places to shop for clothes and accessories?
Most definitely in charity shops. I'm constantly in them sourcing stock, so I buy the majority of my clothes second hand. I'll also treat myself to a couple of new bits at the vintage fairs I sell at, if I've had a good day. Other than that, I love Topshop, ASOS, and H&M.

Do you have a favourite style icon?
My style icons are mostly bloggers, they're definitely who I get most of my inspiration from. I also love all the old classics, like Jane Birkin, Francoise Hardy, and Bridgitte Bardot.

Which song/songs do you have on repeat recently?
I'm definitely an old fashioned girl through and through, and my all time favourites are David Bowie and T-Rex. I have a pretty big vinyl collection which I'm always adding to. I love the like of Leonard Cohen, Fleetwood Mac & The Cure too. 'The Slider' or 'Jeepster' by T-Rex are some of my favourites, 'Golden Years' or 'John, I'm only dancing' by Bowie too.

Which item of clothing can you not stop wearing recently?
I'm constantly stuck in my pencil skirts. I think I have about 25 skirts, and I really want a pencil skirt in every colour! I keep wearing them with pretty blouses or little crop tops (when Spring finally appears!)

You can follow Catherine on Twitter and her YouTube channel,
and you can check out her little vintage shop here :)

Secondly is Lydia from Fashion Influx. I've been reading Lydia's blog now for ages and she's a pretty determined blogger - posting an outfit almost every single day, even in the snow! She has a wardrobe full of amazing clothes, aswell as having legs and abs to die for! She wears vintage and high street, and has an amazing collection of hats :)

Introduce yourself and your blog?
Hi! I'm Lydia, I'm 21 from Sheffield & live in Leeds while I'm at uni. I started my blog about 18 months ago, mainly because I was feeling a bit down about things & wanted a little hobby to perk me up!

Where does your blog name come from?
I don't really know! I just wanted something with 'fashion' in the title that I wasn't going to regret a few years down the line.. so far I don't!

Where are your favourite places to shop for clothes and accessories?
I spend most of my money in H&M, so much so that it's rare you'll see an outfit post where I'm not wearing something from there. They always have up to date trends and I don't think the price is bad for the quality. I get a lot of bits from charity shops, you can find similar stuff to what they have in Topshop, minus the £30 price tag!

Do you have a favourite style icon?
My style icons are usually bloggers. I prefer to look at how they style things up as I think it's usually more realistic than what you see in magazines and on celebrities.

Which song/songs do you have on repeat recently?
Oh dear, my taste in music is tragic! At the moment, I end up with The Saturdays - What About Us stuck in my head for days. It's the most annoyingly catchy song ever!

Which item of clothing can you not stop wearing recently?
My Dr. Martens, not really a recent thing as I've worn them non stop since I got them!

Don't forget you can also follow Lydia on Twitter and instagram :)

Lastly is Jess from Velvet Daisy. I literally always love the outfits she posts, and she looks amazing with every single colour hair she's had - including blue, pink, lilac and blonde! She regularly posts her outfits of the day, including braving it in the snow too! She gets lots of charity shop and carboot sale bargains, and we all know I love a good old carboot sale! :)

 Introduce yourself and your blog?
Heyyyyy Kitties, I'm Jess and I currently live in the very uninspiring town of Hemel Hempstead which is just outside London. I'm currently a Fashion Marketing student at Northampton University and graduate in just 5 weeks eek. I'm 21 and decided to start my blog as an online outfit diary. I then surprisingly started discovering that people were actually quite interested in what I wear/buy and so continued.

Where does your blog name come from?
I actually hate my blog name because it has no relevance at all, but it's way too much effort and hassle to change domains ect so i guess i'm stuck with it forever, GAH! It actually kinda sounds like a smooth noonie... oh dear god...

Where are your favourite places to shop for clothes and accessories?
I would have to say eBay is where I actually buy my entire life, it's full of anything and everything you could ever wish for. Brand wise, I love Unif's slogan tees and Evil Twin's collections for a grungey twist. On the high street I occasionally shop at Urban Outfitters, it's cool but over priced. C'mon now £12 for a pair of glittery socks, pah. Apart from that my savior is the good old car boot sales in the summer. I literally might as well set up camp in the field to get the best bargains. 50p for like the coolest vintage granny sweatshirt EVER? Thank youuuuu very much. Most of my favorite items in my wardrobe have been boot sale bargains!

Do you have a favourite style icon?
I don't have an icon as such but some absolute babes are the one and only Gwen Stefani, Tiffani Amber Thiessen from Saved By The Bell, Charlotte Free, and Sky Ferreira. Other than that I get inspiration from all my cool blogger readers :D

Which song/songs do you have on repeat recently?
At the moment, I can't stop listening to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Sacrilege and PEACE - California Daze.

Which item of clothing can you not stop wearing at the moment?
Do my Jeffrey Campbell Coltranes count as an item of clothing? They are actually glued to my feet, they go with absolutely anything and grunge up every outfit I own.

Don't forget you can also follow Jess on Twitter and  instagram :)

Thanks for reading :)
I hope you've found some lovely new blogs to follow!
