Autumn/Winter bucket list... #blogtober Day 2

Right so hopefully none of you will notice but I've already failed on blogtober Day 2! I actually had an operation yesterday and didn't realise I would be kept in the hospital until so late so you'll have to forgive me and I will write two posts in one day at some point. As much as I love the Summer, Winter does have some of my favourite times of the year - Halloween and Christmas. You may already know that I have my Bucket List that I try to tick off a few things from every year, but I thought it would be a fun idea to create an Autumn/Winter for me to try and tick off over the next few cold months.

  1. Go to Fright Night at Thorpe Park
  2. Try a spiced pumpkin latte
  3. Carve a pumpkin
  4. Have a Halloween movie marathon night with my friends
  5. Create a fun Halloween costume
  6. Go to a fireworks display
  7. Visit Brighton for a few days
  8. Go ice skating
  9. Drink lots of Baileys
  10. Teach myself some burgundy and gold Autumn/Winter eye make up looks
  11. Throw my sister an awesome baby shower (she is expecting her first child in February!)
  12. Have a Christmas movie marathon night with my sister
  13. Drive around finding the local houses covered in Christmas lights
  14. Purchase a really cheesy Christmas jumper
  15. Go to Winter Wonderland
  16. Learn to crochet
  17. Be organised for once and buy everyone's Christmas presents by early December
  18. Make a Malteaser Christmas pudding cake (found on Pinterest!)
  19. Make gingerbread snowflake Christmas cookies
  20. Make a Christmas yule log cake
  21. Read 3 books
  22. Visit the German Christmas markets in Birmingham
  23. Treat myself to a new sparkly NYE dress

Do you have any fun ideas for me to add?
Hopefully see you tomorrow!
Love Dani x

New YouTube video - Winter Wonderland 2014! :)

This is the second year in a row that I've managed to go to Winter Wonderland and I absolutely love it! Although it's quite pricey and very busy, it makes me feel so happy and Christmas-sy! The tankards of beer, hot dogs, waffles and huge rides. The Christmas markets, snow machines and Christmas decorations. I just love all of it, and this year I decided to film some of my day too! :)

Watch it at the highest quality you can and in full screen for a better viewing! Please subscribe to my YouTube channel if you have one as I'll be uploading loads of new videos in 2015!

Thanks for watching :)
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas!
Did you get to go to Winter Wonderland this year?

Love Dani :)

Men's gift guide/stocking fillers for Christmas 2014 :)

Eek writing this gift guide has just made me so excited for Christmas! I love giving people presents and seeing their faces as they open them up. I especially love buying for my boyfriend as we usually set quite small budgets and try buy lots of small little goodies for each other. I've made sure that this gift guide has a price range so that it can inspire you for expensive main presents as well as a few stocking fillers or secret Santa ideas! This is the first ever men's gift guide I've written on my blog so hopefully it will help me in years to come when I run out of ideas I can pop back onto this post for inspiration!

Asos Beard Book - £9.99
There's just something about beards. Men love having beards and complimenting others on their beards so I'm guessing that they'd also like reading about beards! This book contains images from World Beard and Moustache Championships so there will definitely be some interesting photographs and reading!

So I haven't got off to the cheapest start here, but if you're looking to treat a man in your life to something a little bit more special, I love these Daniel Wellington watches. I featured a female one in a wishlist recently as I love both the men and women versions (hint, hint!) Another place to find some other fab men's watches is Oris Watches - it's not the cheapest but there's some lovely watches!

Bjorn Borg Wild Life Trunks - £25.00
How lovely are these floral print boxer shorts? As you all know I'm a massive fan of floral, and I love the colours on these. I think more men should embrace floral patterns, especially on their underwear! They're not the cheapest pants in the world so hopefully they'll be really good quality also :)
Topman Boxed Reindeer Crossing Christmas Jumper - £30.00
You've gotta love a good old Christmas jumper! I love the colours in this Topman one - burgundy and navy are my favourite colours around Christmas time. The reindeer pattern looks really cute and I love that it's presented in a little box.

I know men don't have as many toiletries as us ladies, but they do all need somewhere to pop the bits they do use. I think this checkered one from Topman is lovely. The plaid print is very Autumn/Winter and the embroidered logo is really nice. It looks like it can fit quite a few products inside and would be perfect for those weekends away.

River Island Heisenberg Ceramic Coffee Cup - £10.00
This one is specifically for all those Breaking Bad fans out there! My favourite bit of all is that the cup lid is Heisenberg's hat! Perfect for your dads or boyfriends on the go, who can make a cup of coffee at home in the morning then take this cup to work with them!

Calvin Klein Eternity Eau De Toilette 30ml Gift Set - £33.00*
This gift set is perfect for a loved one. It comes with a mens scent and body wash in the famous Calvin Klein 'Eternity' scent, which I can confirm is gorgeous! Why not make the men in your life smell absolutely lovely this Christmas?! :)

Soap and Glory Men's Daily Double Gift Set - £8.00
I was so excited when I found out that Soap and Glory were now doing products for men. I am a massive fan of Soap and Glory and I have been for years, so I would definitely buy something for my boyfriend. This little gift set won't break the bank and would be perfect as a little stocking filler or Secret Santa pressie!

Lush Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar - £3.25
I'll let you into a little secret here, my boyfriend loves Lush bath bombs (Sorry Joe!) and I'm sure yours would too! He would never go out of his way to buying one himself I'm sure, but if I've ever picked him one up, he's never complained! This little penguin bubble bar isn't too girly, has a Christmassy theme and is just so cute! :)

Now you'll only understand this mug if you've watched Game of Thrones, and if you haven't watched Game of Thrones then I suggest you do! It's a play on the saying 'bros before hoes' and crow is a nickname for the men of the Night's Watch because they dress entirely in black. This is the perfect stocking filler for any Game of Thrones fans, and I know my boyfriend would love it! :)

Paperchase Pack of 5 Panda Highlighters - £3.00
These highlighters make me so happy every time I see them! They are the perfect stocking filler for anybody. Whether your man works in an office and would use them daily, or will occasionally use them once every 6 months, they're such a cute little addition to a pencil case or desk. Who could be disappointed by receiving 5 happy little panda pens?!

Asos Christmas Pudding Beanie hat - £10.00
This is slightly more of a joke present, but if your man or dad is happy to wear a Christmas jumper every year, then why not keep his head warm with a Christmas pudding hat? I think it's quite cute really and the cherry pompom on top is hilarious!

If you don't know what to get someone, get them a timeless DVD. You can't go wrong with popular DVDs and you can get them so cheap online now! The Shawshank Redemption is one of my favourite movies ever and should be in everyone's home! :)

Another thing you can't really go wrong with at Christmas is chocolate! Lindt make absolutely gorgeous chocolate all year round, but at Christmas they have some lovely designs! One of my personal favourites is the chocolate bear, he's a right cutie!

The most obvious gift for the man in your life is pants and socks. These ones from River Island aren't too loud or vibrant, they're a mix of nice Autumn/Winter colours with a nice little dinosaur embroidery at the top.

Last but not least is this Jack Daniels tin filled with fudge. I do love a Jack Daniels drinks and I'm sure that the fudge is just as yummy! This is perfect for a Jack Daniels lover and is pretty cheap too :)

Thank you for reading :)
What will you be getting your boyfriend/brother/dad this Christmas?
I hope this gift guide helped you!
Love Dani :)

What I got for Christmas! :)

I wasn't originally gonna write one of these posts, because I had to leave a few of my pressies at home instead of bringing them back to uni with me, seen as I only have 5 months left here and there's no point in bringing loads of things just to take them back soon! But I've enjoyed reading other peoples 'What I got for Christmas' posts recently so I thought I may as well do my own! I could always do a 'part two' when I next go home but for all I know that might not be until May haha! I had a lovely chilled Christmas at home with my family this year, after such a stressful time at uni I really appreciate just lounging in front of the TV watching Toy Story, Elf and other classic movies with my family!

The main present I asked for from my Dad was my birthstone Pandora ring. I was born in April and the birthstone for that month is a clear rock crystal. I was so surprised though when my sister treated me to a Pandora ring too! She got me the heart ring and apparently I complimented her on her one when mine was already wrapped up under the tree!

I asked for a few random beauty bits this year as I love trying out and blogging about new things! My Dad bought me some Body Shop stuff which I had picked out myself, including this Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Reviver. I left most of the other things at home so that I can look forward to some nice bits when I finish uni in five months :). My boyfriends parents treated me to the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser because his sister heard me mention it months ago which I don't even remember doing so this was a LOVELY surprise on Christmas morning! My mum got me a few nice little stocking fillers including this Soap and Glory facial brush and my best friend treated me to this Victoria's Secret Body Mist in the fragrance 'Love is Heavenly' and it is SO NICE! I will definitely be blogging about my new bits as I try them out :)

My boyfriend and Mum bought me these make up bits I had asked for and I'm loving them all already! I love trying out new make up bits, and I'm pretty sure that this Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder is now my favourite bronzer ever! Also pictured left to right is Body Shop Baked-To-Last Bronzer in Shade 01, Sleek Au Naturel Palette, Max Factor Pan Stick in Shade 12 (which I am LOVING as a concealer), L'Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Noir Excess Mascara and Body Shop Moisture Foundation in Shade 05.

I think this little set was free if you spend a certain amount of money on L'Oreal products at Christmas and my mum got a set for me, her and my sister. It is a really lovely Christmas set because the shades are very festive! You get a bright red lipstick, a bright red nail varnish and a mascara which is actually a clear and glittery top coat!

My boyfriend knows me so well! Anything to do with Ryan Gosling is obviously gonna be on my wishlist, so The Place Beyond the Pines DVD is perfect! It was probably one of my favourite movies of 2013 actually! I've started a Disney DVD collection this year and I'm so happy to have another two to add to it - Pinocchio and Peter Pan! :)

This year with my extended family we did a Secret Santa so everyone could save a bit of money and it was fun because we did it in a way that people could trade gifts at the end haha! My Mum ended up with these Cath Kidston towels and I ended up with a beauty box so we ended up swapping as she loves beauty products and she knows how much I love Cath Kidston! I have been using these in my uni room and I love them so much, the pattern is so cute :)

My best friend got my this gorgeous glass jar from Zara and with the cutest idea in mind - to make it into a memories jar for 2014! She also bought me some pink post-it notes so that I can write my memories on them and pop them into the pot, I've already got a good few in there! My mum bought me this little birdcage tealight candle holder too which is SO me and it looks lovely in my bedroom! She also bought me a fake candle which flickers to go inside, I have a feeling she doesn't trust me with a real one ;)

Thanks for reading :)
I hope you enjoyed this post, thank you so much to my family and friends for these lovely gifts!
Which is your favourite gift and what did you get for Christmas this year?

Wednesday wishlist #10 - The first A/W wishlist this year!

Autumn is definitely here, with the footpaths covered in brown and yellow leaves, so it's probably time I got my hands on some velvet and fur! I've been so busy with uni work that I've not really had any time to go shopping or lust over any new clothes, but I've still come across these goodies and it's making me so excited for Winter and Christmas!

I wouldn't usually spend this much money on a coat, but it would definitely be an investment and could be worn year after year. I've been looking for the perfect for coat for months, and this might be the one! I'm gonna pop into town when I have some time to try it on and the student discount at New Look always tempts me ;)

I'm sure you've all heard of MUA make up by now, but if you haven't they're a super cheap brand exclusively to Superdrug. I have previously invested in a few of the eyeshadow palettes and I'm in love with them. I've been meaning to get a powder highlighter for a while now, as I do love my Benefit High Beam, but I wanted a change. This has been compared to both Benefit and Mac in how good it is, so for only £3 you can't really go wrong!

I am literally in love with this kimono! I fell in love with kimonos over the Summer and thought they would only end up being a Summer thing, but this one is gorgeous and I could see myself wearing it to a nice little Christmas meal. I was obsessed with velvet and devore, but then I went off it, and now I'm obsessed again! I'm not too keen on leopard print though, so I might try find myself a fabric and try making myself one from scratch!

I recently bought a black lace bra from Topshop and now I don't wanna go back! They're literally the comfiest things ever, and not too expensive! I love the colour of this one, it's really Autumny :)

I lalalalove this top! The fringing, the velvet... It's a bit more pricey than I would usually spend on a top so I need to go in store to try it on and see if it's as lovely in the flesh!

I wouldn't usually ever spend £30 on a ring, but this is literally the coolest thing ever! It opens up so you can keep something tiny in it (or some poison obviously!) I really want to try and find myself a cheaper version of something like this!

The shade of this nail varnish looks like the perfect Christmas nail polish. I love the material on the lid too! I found this on the Motel Rocks website randomly, so I might have to make a purchase next time I order from there. (Also, get 20% off MotelRocks.com using discount code 'floraldanielle')

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let is snow! And what Santa brought me this year :)

Hey guys :) hope everyone had a fab Christmas! I keep meaning to do this post but I've been so busy (mostly just in the January sales or finishing off the turkey and Pringles!)

The first Christmas card I opened all year, a sexy Santa! :)

Some very strange (and rushed) Christmas cakes I made! :)

I added a little candy cane to all of my Christmas cards this year :)

And now to the pressies! I was spoilt rotten this year, so big fat thank you to my mum, dad, sister, boyfriend, boyfriends family, best friend and my family and friends :). Look at all this chocolate and sweets, how am I ever gonna get on with a January diet with these!?

Lots of lovely fashion books! I will do a post one day on all my fashion books and which ones I think are the best so all you fashion students can ask for some yourselves :). The big pink fashion one is about fashion and costumes over the years, the teen vogue handbook has about careers in the fashion industry, and the fashionary is a fashion sketchbook with templates and spec templates :)

I was with my mum in TK Maxx a few weeks before Christmas when I saw this pin-up diary and I had to have it! There's a different gorgeous pin-up model per week, and at the end of the year I can stick them all on my wall :)

At the same time in TK Maxx I saw this book which I loved, it's a mix of vintage hair and beauty tips, as well as vintage recipes and generally cute vintage pictures! :)

My best friend Courtney (she's a Mac make-up artist, check out her work here) got me these gorgeous bits! I am so in love with the Ted Baker make up bag, and I love how the little Mac lip glosses box matches too :)

My boyfriend got me the MUA nail constellations, my sister got me the matte nail varnish (which I can't wait to try out), Santa (my dad) got me the Kate Moss lipsticks in my favourite shades and my mum got me Benefit Coralista! I usually wear Hoola so I'm excited to try out this new shade :)

How cute is this massive Vaseline tin?! I'm gonna use it to store all of lipsticks and other lip products :) and my boyfriends nan bought me this lovely Cath Kidston manicure nail set :)

I picked these shirts with mum when she came to visit me in Norwich weeks ago, how cute is the doggy one?! I can't wait to wear them with a necklace under the collar all year round :)

My boyfriend bought this when he came to visit me at uni months ago and I'd totally forgotten, it's so cute and I love the colours! I'm going to wear it around my head and as a scarf, and the vintage envelope it came in is so cute too! :)

This has to be one of my favourite gifts, it's a hamsa hand charm that my mum got for me and my sister for our Pandora charm bracelets. I've wanted a hamsa charm for ages but Pandora don't do them, but this was found online and is real silver and it's so cute! I also got a little snowman charm from my boyfriends parents, but I accidentally left my bracelet at his so I can't photograph it! :)

Thanks for reading :)
I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas yourself and got some goodies too!
I appreciate each of these lovely presents I've recieved, and hope my family and friends loved theirs from me just as much!
Love Dani

Stocking fillers and 'Secret Santa' presents for under £10 :)

I absolutely love Christmas. I love Christmas shopping, I love going home and spending time with my family and friends, I love the food but I hate being skint after it all! It can all be rather expensive, especially being a university student too, so I've put together some gifts all for under £10. I love all of these gifts, a few I do have already, but they are cheap enough for stocking fillers, a 'secret Santa' gift, or just a little extra to a main present :)

I absolutely love this shade of lipstick. It is a cherry red, dark enough to look good with burgundy and other winter colours, but not too dark to make you look gothic in the pale winter months. You can see me wearing mine in the top picture here. I really love Kate Moss lipsticks, they're cheap and cheerful, yet they're really nice to wear too. They're matte yet don't dry out your lips, I've asked for a light pink one for Christmas :)

I love piling gold rings up on my finger, and I think this inital one would go perfectly with all my others. I usually dislike dangle rings, but this one is pretty simple and quite short so wouldn't be too annoying.

I only tried out this product recently as I had to get an extra something in the '3 for 2' offer, but I'm so glad I did, it's actually incredible! If I put it on at night before I go to bed, the next morning my hands feel so soft and lovely! The mini version is the perfect size to keep in your handbag too :)

Elf DVD - £3.64
Elf is my favourite Christmas movie ever, it makes me laugh so much everytime! My sister used to watch it every single day of December when we were younger, and when I used to live with her, I literally heard her laugh everytime too. Everyone should own Elf on DVD, and everyone should watch it every December! :)

Topshop Christmas Socks - £3.50 (Or 3 for £8)
Everyone needs some nice snuggly Christmas socks to wear under their boots and just general wonder around the house in. Topshop have some lovely Santa/ gingerbread man/ fairisle ones this year which are perfect for all :)

I have two Cath Kidston mugs that my boyfriend treated me to before and I love them. They're bigger than the average mug, so they're perfect for a nice big cuppa tea, and they have such lovely designs and patterns too :)

I bought this for myself a while back when it was on offer for about £4, so if you look around you might be able to find it cheaper too! I absolutely love the design of the tin and I'm gonna use it to store all of my lipsticks in! I always have a Vaseline nearby and Winter is the perfect time to get someone some Vaseline with all the cold weather and chapped lips! :(

Every girl loves lipgloss, and every girl loves Soap and Glory. This lipgloss has something in it (I can't find mine right now to read what it actaully is) but it makes your lips tingle and enlarge slightly so you have a nice big Christmas pout! Haha I've explained this terribly, but it's pretty cool :)

Just a tiny gift for the Christmas season. I love Carmex lip balm and I always have a pot on the go. It's basically the exact same as Vaseline but it seems to leave your lips all tingly like you can feel it actaully working, and it's in a lovely cherry flavour :)

Now everyone loves the Yankee Candles, but not everyone can afford the price tags. With the smallest usually being about £8, they're not the cheapest presents, but why not get a sampler for £1.80 and then they can decide for themselves if they like it enough to buy the full product! They still burn for up to 15 hours and they can be put into any cute containers to melt :)
I'm yet to try out any Models Own nail varnishes, but I've heard nothing but good things about them! At only £5 they don't break the bank, and the beetlejuice collection have some gorgeous shades. They seem to change colour as you move your fingers in the light so you can have a dark green shade with hints of pink in the light :)

As with the other chocolate oranges, you can more than likely find these on offer in places for as low as £1 each, and I can confirm that these are absolutely gorgeous! A mix of the normal Terry's Chocolate Orange with tiny bits of popping candy inside, they are perfect for a stocking filler :)

These are tiny little balls that stick to your wet nail varnish and look so cute! I previously wrote a whole review on them here if you would like to read the whole thing :)

I bought these for myself at the start of uni this year, and they actually put me in such a good mood when I have to do boring written work! They're so cute and cheap and would make any student, or anyone who has to do paperwork happy :)
I've only tried this once before when my housemate gave me a cup full, and I've been lusting after it ever since! I love hot chocolate and I love white chocolate, they are just so perfect together and lovely for the cold Winter months :)

Thanks for reading :)
